Happy Mother’s Day John!
Today we honor mothers across the country — the ones who show up, speak up, and fight every day to protect their kids.
We also hold space for the mothers who are grieving.
For the moms who never got to see their child graduate.
For the ones who sleep in rooms full of memories and silence.
For the ones who wake up every day with loss in their chest and still choose to fight.
Gun violence has stolen too many children from their mothers — and too many mothers from their children.
This epidemic doesn’t just make headlines. It shatters families. It creates wounds in communities that take lifetimes to heal. It changes what it means to raise a child in America.
No mom should have to fear whether their child will come home from school, from a movie, from a party, from anywhere.
This is why we fight. Because every child deserves a future — and every parent deserves to see it. Not one more family.
We recommit ourselves to building a world where motherhood doesn’t come with fear — only hope. For all the kids, and all the mothers everywhere.
