Hey guys, it’s Angela Alsobrooks’ daughter, Alex! 

Whether you’re celebrating the moms in your life or you’re the one being celebrated, I hope you’re having an amazing Mother’s Day. 😊

Personally, today gives me a great excuse to gush a little about my caring, brilliant, courageous, history-making mom. 

🍳 Growing up, my mom made me breakfast and dropped me off at school every morning, no matter how crazy-packed her schedule was (even when she was running for Senate!).

💚 She has the rare talent of being both a great listener and a great talker. We’d always spend an extra half hour at the grocery store, just chatting with people.  

💪 She can handle anything AND do it with understanding and ease. Whether it’s leading Prince George’s County, helping me apply to colleges, or winning a competitive Senate race, I’ve never seen her back down from a challenge.

My mom is my rock and my inspiration. Especially now, Maryland is so lucky to have her in our corner.
