From May 11–16, fearless LGBTIQ activists from around the globe will gather at United Nations Headquarters in New York City for Outright International’s Advocacy Week 2025. At a time of mounting attacks on LGBTIQ rights worldwide, these defenders of LGBTIQ persons’ rights will raise their voices, confront global backlash, and directly engage with world leaders at the United Nations.
Outright has been supporting these inspiring activists with weekly training and strategy meetings, and tailored preparation to help them maximize their impact at the UN.
Coming from countries like Mauritius, the Philippines, Trinidad & Tobago, Japan, and Brazil, the delegates will speak truth to power, advocating for safety, dignity, and equality. Together, they'll highlight urgent human rights abuses, demand accountability, and push for real policy changes at the highest levels.
