We want to start off by wishing all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother-figures out there a very happy Mother’s Day!
We’re so grateful for everything you’ve done to raise future generations and build strong communities here in Wisconsin.
But this Mother’s Day, there’s something else on our minds as well.
SB 23 – a bill heading to the State Senate – would extend BadgerCare coverage for new mothers from 60 days to one year after birth. And values-driven Democrats in the State Legislature are fighting hard to pass this bill.
But Wisconsin Republicans are trying to bury it and avoid lifting a single finger to make life easier for new mothers.
