Dear John,

As a mother of 10 and a grandmother to 15 precious souls, I’ve experienced the highest joys, and the deepest sorrows, known to the human heart. There’s simply nothing that compares to the journey of motherhood.

But even if you aren’t a mother, your life has been shaped by one. Whether childhood was sweet or scarred, our earliest memories are nearly always tied to the presence, or absence, of a mother’s love.

This Mother’s Day, I want to honor not just the women who gave birth, but every woman who has nurtured, prayed, sacrificed, or stood in the gap to protect a child.

Motherhood is not a job. It’s a calling.
It’s sleepless nights, selfless days, and unshakable courage.
It’s saying “yes” to life when the world says to walk away.
It’s loving when it hurts. And hoping even when all seems lost.

In a world where motherhood is often undervalued—or even mocked—we at CitizenGO believe it’s time to lift it high again. To say boldly that mothers matter. That children matter. That life itself is worth fighting for.

So today, whether you’re celebrating or grieving, please know this:
You are seen. You are loved. And you are not alone.

With you in this great fight for life, family, and freedom,

Anna Derbyshire and the entire CitizenGO Team
