Dear John -- I’m re-sending this important update to make sure you didn’t miss it -- Robert Reich
Dear John,
I just got a report-back on our latest voter persuasion videos, and I can’t wait to share these results.
First, let me explain a bit about how we work here at Inequality Media Civic Action. Every day, our team of artists, writers, and producers are dreaming up new posts and videos to educate the public and explain what a complete disaster the Trump presidency is.
And we’re not interested in just preaching to the choir. We want to create content that convinces independents and even Republicans.
How do we know whether these videos are working? We test them, and according to the public opinion experts we work with, if a video moves people’s opinions by anything over two to three points, that’s big.
Here’s the incredible news: Our latest videos are moving even Trump voters by as much as FIVE points! Now we need your help to get these new videos out in front of as many voters as possible using both paid ads and organic sharing.
Will you make a monthly donation to help get the truth out and reach the Trump voters we need to help stop this regime of chaos?
These latest videos set out to persuade voters — especially Trump voters — that Trump’s economic policies are failing, especially when it comes to inflation.
The most effective video we tested focused on grocery prices, and the Trump voters who watched the video were:
-
4 points more likely to say they don’t “trust Trump to bring down the price of groceries.”
- 5 points more likely to agree with the statement that “Trump’s policies will not benefit people like me.”
- 4 points more likely to say “Trump’s policies will not help the middle class.”
- 3 points more likely to say they “trusted Democrats” to bring down prices.
Those might seem like small numbers, but remember: These are voters who stuck with Trump through his entire first term and the January 6 attack on the U.S. They saw his bungled response to COVID, the 34 felony convictions, a jury finding him liable for sexual assault, and all the rest… and still they supported him. Any movement at all with this group is remarkable.
So we’re scrambling to push these videos out far and wide through both paid ads and organic viral sharing — and we’re counting on your donations to help us break through.
Make a donation today and help Inequality Media Civic Action educate the public and reach the Trump voters we need to help stop this regime of chaos.
Thank you,
Robert Reich
