Yesterday, the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory
against fascism by the combined forces of the Soviet Union, United
States, and allied forces was celebrated in Russia, which featured 29
other heads of state present at that ceremony. The lessons of the
First and Second World Wars were emphasized by Russian President
Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, to shape the world
along the lines of a new security and development architecture, where
nations work together for mutual benefit and economic development,
avoiding another world war, which would be nuclear.
Over 80 years ago, 250,000 Americans gathered in Times Square
to celebrate the end of the war, and there was a clear commitment to
end colonialism from the soldiers and civilians who worked at home to
ensure the “Arsenal of Democracy” would provide the means to end
fascism in Europe once and for all. Though President Trump issued a
statement from the White House commemorating Victory Day, the
significance of yesterday’s events are not being reflected on in the
U.S. adequately enough. In Europe, it is far worse, with the EU
prohibiting nations from attending the Victory Day celebrations in
Russia.
The axioms that have dominated the international order are now
being broken apart, and we see in places like Ukraine, Southwest Asia,
and the India-Pakistan theater, the threat of nuclear war engulfing
the planet. What sort of paradigm must nations now realize, in order
to stabilize the political sphere and overcome these conflicts?
The nations of the Global South are moving towards a break from
the “rules-based order” of the trans-Atlantic elite and financial
establishments based in the City of London and Wall Street. The
present policy of war, genocide, and Wall Street—City of London
hegemony will only lead to more chaos and destruction. An efficient
proscription to overturning the axioms of the present world order has
been offered by Schiller Institute Chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche in
her “Ten Principles for a New Security and Development Architecture.”
The Schiller Institute May 24-25 conference, “A Beautiful Vision for
Humanity in Times of Great Turbulence!” can be the successful start of
launching that process worldwide, of overturning British geopolitics
and the axioms of empire.
TLO spokesman Harley Schlanger, will join today’s Manhattan
Project to discuss the process we intend to shape for the world. Larry
Johnson will also be on at 4pm EST!
