Tell Congress: Support the Personal Option for Health Care!
<[link removed]>

Hello John,

Good news out of Washington.

President Trump has recently issued an executive order to lower drug prices
that sends a clear message: We’re committed to fixing what’s broken by putting
patients and taxpayers first — not special interests or unaccountable
bureaucracies.

The Trump executive order, built on accountability and innovation, takes
targeted action where it’s needed most — wasteful spending, hidden costs, and a
lack of transparency.

By addressing these challenges head-on, the president is paving the way for a
system that works better for individuals and families, ensuring access to
quality care at prices people can afford.

The executive order is packed with important changes, but here are the
highlights:

* Lowering unfair drug prices without stifling the groundbreaking
advancements that make America a global leader in medical innovation.Patients
deserve access to lifesaving medications at fair prices, and this initiative
strikes the delicate balance between affordability and continued investment in
the discovery of new treatments and cures.
* Eliminating unchecked middlemen profits that drive up costs for consumers.
These hidden markups have long siphoned money away from patients and taxpayers,
leaving them to bear the burden of inflated prices. By ensuring more
transparency and accountability, the White House ismaking sure more of every
health care dollar goes directly to patient care.
* Expanding access to affordable, lifesaving medications for more Americans.
No one should be forced to choose between their health and their financial
security. These reforms aim to lift that burden, particularly for vulnerable
populations,so more people can access the medications they need without added
stress or financial strain.
These reforms reflect patient-centered principles that are central to
improving the U.S. health care system — transparency, innovation, and
opportunity. And they are consistent with changes we’ve long advocated as part
of our Personal Option health reform plan.

Reforms like:

* Boosting the number of drugs available over the counter
* Streamlining FDA drug approvals to give patients and doctors more options
without reducing safety
* Removing barriers to robust pharmaceutical competition and price
transparency
* Repealing harmful prescription drug price controls that drive up costs and
stifle lifesaving innovation
Of course, a president can only do so much. We need Congress to make all these
ideas a reality for every American.

So, please contact your elected officials and let them know you support a
Personal Option!
