Team,
As we approach Mother’s Day Weekend, I’m reflecting on where we come from, who we fight for, and the values we carry forward.
For me, everything always comes back to family.
I was born and raised in Southern California, the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. My dad was an industrial mechanic. My mom didn’t have a high school education at first, but she attended night school while raising our family and eventually became an elementary school teacher. Together, they made sure all seven of their kids became college graduates.
My family taught me the value of hard work, community, and showing up for those you love. As a working mom, daughter, and someone committed to building a better future for all our families, that’s what drives me every single day in Congress.
When my sister Loretta and I became the first pair of sisters to serve in Congress, it wasn’t just a personal milestone — it was a testament to what families like mine, like yours, are capable of when we have opportunity, support, and someone in our corner.
That’s what I try to be for my constituents. A fighter. A protector. A voice.
This Mother’s Day Weekend, I'm more determined than ever to keep fighting for economic security, affordable child care, reproductive freedom, and policies that honor the sacrifices mothers make every day.
If you're with me, I hope you'll take a moment to stand by my campaign — and all the working families we're fighting for.
As the chair of BOLD PAC, Linda is at the forefront of electing Democrats up and down the ballot who fight for all working families.
Will you chip in $10 to Linda’s campaign right now to power her efforts?
