Hi CLCV Member,

This month the Great American Outdoors Act will be taken up in the Senate
and sent to the House of Representatives. However, the fight is not over -
we are looking to the House of Representatives to ensure this bill becomes
law!

As this important piece of legislation moves forward, we need Speaker
Pelosi to usher this bill through the House and provide full funding for
the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). LWCF will help expand access
to the outdoors and protect our public lands for future generations. This
legislation will fuel economic growth and development in the over 40,000
state and local parks supported by LWCF. These public lands support over 7
million American jobs and create billions of dollars in economic output
for communities across the country. Investing in LWCF is an investment in
the economic lifeblood of many communities.

The bipartisan support of this legislation shows it is an obvious win for
our country. Access to the outdoors is an integral part of the American
experience. America’s public lands make our communities stronger and more
resilient - and making sure all Americans have access to outdoor green
spaces to exercise and find comfort should be an essential part of our
collective national recovery.

line.

See you outside,
