Dear John,
Let’s take a quick down memory lane and remember what happened back in the 2018 midterm elections.
The race for control of the U.S. House was centered around the fight to protect our healthcare. The GOP had fought for two years to get rid of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and not only did they fail, it backfired massively with a blue wave sweeping across the country and giving Democrats a House Majority that November.
One of the Republicans defeated in that wave was Rep. David Valadao — who voted to repeal the ACA.
Unfortunately, he was able to win his seat back in 2020 and has won a series of close races since. But as Republicans fight every day to pass Medicaid cuts front-and-center, we have a real opportunity for history to repeat itself with another blue wave *AND* the defeat of Rep. David Valadao.
But David Valadao’s seat is far from the only important one in California. Here at Blue Wave California we know that control of the U.S. House is once again going to come down to swing seats in our state. That’s why we are already turning our operation into high gear, planning events and launching campaigns up and down California. How is David Valadao learning from his past mistakes to try to hang onto his seat this time?
Well, when the latest vote to cut Medicaid was called in the U.S. House he just decided to not show up!
