Dear Friend,
Some of our states are already out of session for the year, but that doesn't mean our state freedom caucus members return home and stop fighting. In fact, now is the time to push even harder. Remember, we are helping PART-TIME lawmakers become FULL-TIME Freedom Caucuses. That means fighting all year round to defend your liberties. |
GEORGIA Session ended in Atlanta almost a month ago, but earlier this week, 23 state attorneys general - all Republican - signed a letter stating their support for President Trump's nomination of Ed Martin to be the U.S. Attorney for DC. Absent from that list of AGs was Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr.
The Georgia Freedom Caucus was quick to publicly rebuke Carr for failing to support President Trump and Ed Martin. See below for their statement. Unfortunately, lacking the votes in the Senate to get confirmed, Trump was forced to withdraw Martin's nomination.
But the key point here is that Carr now knows that every letter he signs (or doesn't sign) going forward will be carefully watched by our GA Freedom Caucus. And his actions will be publicly broadcast for all voters to see. In the past, such a move by Carr would typically go unnoticed. Not anymore! |
The Georgia Freedom Caucus wasn't done though. After Governor Brian Kemp declared he wasn't going to run for U.S. Senate in 2026, they alerted the public that Republican Congressman Buddy Carter, who announced his intent to run, was no conservative either.
Carter is a "go along to get along" congressman who is deceiving voters by calling himself a "MAGA warrior" while voting with the Swamp to fully fund USAID and the War in Ukraine. He also doesn't want to help Trump cut spending in the federal budget - he recently said he wants to keep the green energy subsidies that Biden delivered as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. Here's the GAFC's statement on Carter: |
WYOMING Democrats and liberal Republicans HATE that conservative lawmakers in the state have come together to create a Wyoming Freedom Caucus.
WYFC Chair, Rep. Rachel Rodriguez-Williams penned a great op-ed pointing out their hypocrisy. Must read. |
ILLIINOIS
On Wednesday, the Illinois Freedom Caucus joined DHS Secretary Kristi Noem in Springfield, IL, for a press conference to discuss Governor Pritzker's lawless sanctuary city policies. Pritzker is positioning himself to be a presidential candidate in 2028 and the Illinois Freedom Caucus is doing its part to make sure the voters know that, despite whatever he says, Pritzker is a hardcore progressive leftist. |
MONTANA
A Far Left organization called "Forward Montana" exists to promote liberal policies in the state like Medicaid expansion and "climate change" regulations. Each week in their newsletter, they proclaim a "Villian of the Week". This week, they gave out their inauspicious "award" to the entire Montana Freedom Caucus.
Being called "villains" by an organization that works with Democrats and liberal Republicans to grow government and restrict liberties is a badge of honor! |
