Good afternoon, John –
While the Texas House is dominated by Republicans, conservative priorities seem to have been stalled. Despite the Senate's efforts, House leadership seems more interested in political theater than meaningful reform.
We recently asked our readers if they thought conservative priorities would pass the House. The overwhelming sentiment was one of pessimism. As one reader put it:
“I don’t know who the Texas House members are working for, but they clearly are NOT working for the people who put them in office!” - Tara S.
With the May 15 deadline for the Texas House to consider legislation fast approaching, Texans are demanding action. Texas Scorecard is here to facilitate those citizens’ efforts by making sure Texans have the whole story.
We’re not here to make excuses for legislators or enrage someone’s “base.” Texas Scorecard exists to help citizens get the facts they need to effectively dominate government and culture.
While there is no question about the dramatic improvement in grassroots conservative representation in the Texas Legislature since last year’s elections, it is equally true that the uniparty is maintaining a death grip on its fleeting influence.
At Texas Scorecard, we're committed to giving citizens the necessary tools to pry the crony establishment’s grip and take back power in the Lone Star State. But we need your support [[link removed]] if we are to keep up this vital work in the final days of this year’s session.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in the fight!
For Texas,
