2025 AUBURN LOBSTER FESTIVAL

We're just over a week away from the 2025 Auburn Lobster Festival!! Enjoy live country music, food trucks & lobster feed, and delicious craft brews & other beverages in the heart of downtown Auburn!

FY26 SCHOOL & CITY BUDGET


Auburn's FY26 Proposed Budget passed upon first reading at a City Council meeting on May 5. The second reading is scheduled for May 19 at Auburn City Hall, during the Council meeting to be held at 7:00PM. The public is welcome to comment. The Council passed the Auburn School Department Budget on May 5. The School Budget Validation Referendum election will be held June 10. More information is available on our website: https://www.auburnmaine.gov/Pages/Government/Election-and-Voting

The City Clerk's Office has started sending out absentee ballots; if you requested a ballot for this election, you can expect to receive it next week. Starting Monday next week, voters can come to Auburn Hall during our normal hours of operation to take home an absentee ballot or vote absentee in person. Anyone needing to may also register to vote. The last day to request a ballot is June 5.

All wards will vote at Auburn Hall on June 10. The polling place will be open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM. Absentee ballots must be returned by 8:00PM on June 10.

Drop in to 48 Pettengill Park Road and help Spread loam + compost in our new, expanded Pollinator Garden! Do some weeding, dead heading + spring clean up! Enjoy a hands-on demonstration of proper spring clean-up by Master Gardeners + working group members.


Join us at this free family- friendly event. All are welcome - bring garden tools if you have them. Rain date 5/11.



Can't make it to the garden tomorrow? Plan to attend next Saturday instead!


Join us on Saturday, May 17 from 10AM to noon for a spring planting event at the demonstration pollinator garden in Pettengill Park!


We will plant native spring seeds + seedlings. Garden tools + equipment will be on-site, but feel free to bring your own. Kids are welcome! bring Native seeds/seedlings if you’d like.


Master gardeners + working group members will answer gardening questions. All are welcome! Rain date 5/18.
