Hello,
The last few months have been defined by economic uncertainty and everywhere you look, people are fed up — with corporations’ overt influence over politics, with high prices, with monopoly middlemen squeezing them at every turn, and scams in every part of the economy.
Families are watching grocery bills continue to rise while companies like Tyson and Kroger post record profits. Renters are getting hit with steep hikes from landlords using software like RealPage. Patients and physicians are desperately fighting insurance giants like UnitedHealth for basic care. And large firms like Walmart are ready to take advantage of the administration’s tariff chaos as small businesses struggle to survive.
This moment demands more than just soundbites and legislative tinkering. Economic Liberties’ Antimonopoly Policy Agenda for the 119th Congress is a comprehensive blueprint for lawmakers with bold ideas that can deliver real change, restore democratic control over our markets, and allow Americans to move beyond just making ends meet to building economic power.
This agenda lays out proposals to take on corporate power head-on: from stopping landlord collusion via algorithms and food price-fixing, to breaking up Big Tech and Big Medicine, to restoring fairness in everything from drug pricing to trade to defense contracting. It also tackles the bigger picture—how Congress can conduct oversight over the executive branch and strengthen the rules, agencies, and institutions that are supposed to keep markets fair in the first place.
Congress needs to take some big swings. And the political appetite and demand from everyday Americans has never been stronger. We hope you take a look.
Thank you for being a part of this work.
Best,
Nidhi Hegde
