Pollinator Awareness Month
As a Pollinator-Friendly Community, Mendota Heights sets aside the month of May to encourage pollinator-friendly practices.
Pollinators are one of our planet’s most ecologically and economically important group of animals. They are a crucial link to every terrestrial ecosystem in the world.
One of the biggest differences you can make in protecting pollinators is what you do in your own landscape.

Making Accessibility a Priority
The City is creating a plan to ensure public spaces throughout the community are safe, inclusive, and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
When complete, this plan will help guide future improvements to curb ramps, pedestrian routes, and public infrastructure to better serve all residents, including those with disabilities.
As part of this process, the City is partnering with Stonebooke Engineering to identify barriers to accessibility in Mendota Heights; you may see consultant personnel collecting data on pedestrian ramps throughout the city this month.
