Hi Friend,
It's been a tumultuous year, and our immigrant communities have felt the br=
unt of Trump=E2=80=99s first 100 days in office. So far, this administratio=
n is instilling fear by increasing deportations, expanding and overcrowding=
detention centers, and stripping temporary protected status for hundreds o=
f thousands of legally protected immigrants all over the country, among oth=
er monstrous policies. The passing of the Laken-Riley Act has further erode=
d our judicial=20
process, a founding principle of US law: =E2=80=9Cinnocent until proven gui=
lty.=E2=80=9D Venezuelans, Haitians, and Cameroonians, among others, who ca=
me for protection guaranteed under international law, have had the rug pull=
ed out from under them, now forced to live in fear of being deported right =
back to the dangers from which they fled.=20
Every day, the FFI team is taking action to fight these unjust policies and=
uphold the dignity of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. In these fir=
st 100 days:
We=E2=80=99ve hired a new hotline manager, assuring that detained immigrant=
s have access to the support they need and to hold ICE accountable for unsa=
fe, unsanitary, and dangerous conditions.
We provided support to immigrants in the prison system who may be in danger=
of being transferred to ICE.=20
We have organized Know-Your-Rights trainings and are collaborating with uni=
versities to develop and distribute legal one-pagers advocating for legal r=
esolutions that protect against deportation and health guides tailored to m=
anaging chronic illnesses inside detention.
We continue to take to the streets, helping to organize actions in Los Ange=
les and D.C for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action, and parti=
cipating in May Day protests across the country.
We have shaped the media coverage of Trump=E2=80=99s first 100 days, whethe=
r it be penning Letters to the Editor to counter the Guant=C3=A1namo Bay ma=
ss detention plan or providing interviews to national outlets like The Wash=
ington Post.

It's been a tumultuous year, and our immigrant communities have felt the brunt of Trump’s first 100 days in office. So far, this administration is instilling fear by increasing deportations, expanding and overcrowding detention centers, and stripping temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of legally protected immigrants all over the country, among other monstrous policies. The passing of the Laken-Riley Act has further eroded our judicial
process, a founding principle of US law: “innocent until proven guilty.” Venezuelans, Haitians, and Cameroonians, among others, who came for protection guaranteed under international law, have had the rug pulled out from under them, now forced to live in fear of being deported right back to the dangers from which they fled.

It's been a tumultuous year, and our immigrant communities have felt the br=
unt of Trump=E2=80=99s first 100 days in office. So far, this administratio=
n is instilling fear by increasing deportations, expanding and overcrowding=
detention centers, and stripping temporary protected status for hundreds o=
f thousands of legally protected immigrants all over the country, among oth=
er monstrous policies. The passing of the Laken-Riley Act has further erode=
d our judicial=20
process, a founding principle of US law: =E2=80=9Cinnocent until proven gui=
lty.=E2=80=9D Venezuelans, Haitians, and Cameroonians, among others, who ca=
me for protection guaranteed under international law, have had the rug pull=
ed out from under them, now forced to live in fear of being deported right =
back to the dangers from which they fled.=20
Every day, the FFI team is taking action to fight these unjust policies and=
uphold the dignity of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. In these fir=
st 100 days:
We=E2=80=99ve hired a new hotline manager, assuring that detained immigrant=
s have access to the support they need and to hold ICE accountable for unsa=
fe, unsanitary, and dangerous conditions.
We provided support to immigrants in the prison system who may be in danger=
of being transferred to ICE.=20
We have organized Know-Your-Rights trainings and are collaborating with uni=
versities to develop and distribute legal one-pagers advocating for legal r=
esolutions that protect against deportation and health guides tailored to m=
anaging chronic illnesses inside detention.

It's been a tumultuous year, and our immigrant communities have felt the brunt of Trump’s first 100 days in office. So far, this administration is instilling fear by increasing deportations, expanding and overcrowding detention centers, and stripping temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of legally protected immigrants all over the country, among other monstrous policies. The passing of the Laken-Riley Act has further eroded our judicial

Every day, the FFI team is taking action to fight these unjust policies and uphold the dignity of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. In these first 100 days:
We’ve hired a new hotline manager, assuring that detained immigrants have access to the support they need and to hold ICE accountable for unsafe, unsanitary, and dangerous conditions.
We provided support to immigrants in the prison system who may be in danger of being transferred to ICE.
We have organized Know-Your-Rights trainings and are collaborating with universities to develop and distribute legal one-pagers advocating for legal resolutions that protect against deportation and health guides tailored to managing chronic illnesses inside detention.
We continue to take to the streets, helping to organize actions in Los Angeles and D.C for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action, and participating in May Day protests across the country.
We have shaped the media coverage of Trump’s first 100 days, whether it be penning Letters to the Editor to counter the Guantánamo Bay mass detention plan or providing interviews to national outlets like The Washington Post.
