Congress is hearing you LOUD and CLEAR on protecting suppressors!

That’s right. GOA’s Capitol Hill lobbyists are telling me that the committee
is hearing all of our members and their calls on the Hearing Protection Act.
It’s made a tremendous impact.

And so I want to thank you for all your hard work.

However, there is just one problem: Our team is also hearing reports that
there are some Republicans on the committee who want to cave on theSHORT Act
and NOT protect Pistol Braces or short-barreled firearms! 

Some Republicans are even suggesting behind closed doors that the federal
government can’t afford to lose the $200 that comes from the making and
transfer tax revenue—an unconstitutional “sin” tax that penalizes your
God-given rights!

So even if you’ve already contacted the committee, please call the House Ways
and Means Committee at (202)-225-3625 <tel:2022253625> and demand that they
commit to passing H.R. 2395—theSHORT Act introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde—to
prevent any future weaponization of the NFA!

I need you to take action and pick up your phone to defend our God given
Second Amendment rights.



The Hearing Protection Act and the Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today
(SHORT) Act, are stalled in the House Ways and Means Committee and we need your
help to move these bills.

* R. 404—The Hearing Protection Act, introduced by Rep. Ben Cline, would
remove suppressors from the National Firearms Act of 1934 (“NFA”), stripping
away all regulation and eliminating the $200 tax stamp.
* R. 2395—The SHORT Act, introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde, would prevent any
future attempt to reintroduce the Biden administration’s unconstitutional
pistol brace ban. The NFA was the actual law that the Biden Administration used
to justify the pistol brace ban.
You helped deliver a mandate to President Trump last November and now we need
the House Ways and Means Committee to help President Trump deliver on his
campaign promise to restore the Second Amendment.



Here is what we need you to do TODAY:



Pick up the phone and call the House Ways and Means Committee at (202) 225-3625
and direct your message to the majority.



Tell them to pass H.R. 404 and H.R. 2395 immediately out of committee to
deregulate suppressors and ensure that a future anti-gun administration does
not target pistol-braced firearms again using the archaic and unconstitutional
NFA.This isn’t just about an unconstitutional $200 tax that we want lowered,
it’s about repealing all the unconstitutional gun control like registration,
wait periods, fingerprints, and more that comes along with that tax.



And every day the House Ways and Means Committee does not move these bills;
gun owners face archaic restrictions and possible prosecution for exercising
their constitutional right to Keep and Bear Arms.



We must act now. This Congress has the opportunity to be one of, if not, the
most pro-gun Congress since the ratification of the Second Amendment itself!



When we flood their office with calls, they will act. Congress pays attention
when you take time out of your busy day to call them. A phone call to your
Member of Congress is the equivalent of 100 people sending them a letter! Even
if it’s after hours, leave a message.



So please, take 5 minutes out of your busy day to remind the House Ways and
Means Committee Majority at (202) 225-3625.



Urge them to move the Hearing Protection Act and the SHORT Act out of
committee, as that will ensure that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not
treated as a second-class right.We need the committee to do everything in its
power to make these bills into law and gut the National Firearms Act.



Let them know that Gun Owners of America will be closely monitoring any or
lack of action by the Committee to move these bills.
