With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I’m feeling especially grateful to have been brought up by an uplifting community of women, including my mother and grandmother.

I have so many fond memories of them. I’ll never forget my mother’s loving words as I nervously sat in my car nauseous for 20 minutes back in 2018 with my filing papers in hand.

She helped me find the courage to run to represent District Four at City Hall.

My mother has always been my greatest cheerleader, and I couldn’t be more grateful. As we celebrate the moms and maternal figures in our lives, I’m hoping you’ll spread the appreciation by sharing your favorite memory of your mother with me. Click here to share your story →
