Donald Trump and his billionaire allies are pushing a plan to privatize
the USPS.
This scheme would turn over one of our most essential public services to
corporations that care more about profit than people.
That would mean higher costs, slower service, and eliminated routes for
rural communities. And it would mean the loss of middle-class jobs for
hundreds of thousands of postal workers nationwide. Nearly 1,000 of my
neighbors in Delaware would be at risk.
The USPS isn’t a business.
It’s a constitutional promise built to serve the public good — delivering
prescriptions to seniors, paychecks to workers, and ballots to voters.
We should be strengthening the Postal Service, not selling it to the
highest bidder. That’s why I stood on the House floor this week to speak
out against Trump’s reckless plan. Now, I’m asking you to stand with me:
