John, I’m writing to you directly because a moment like this demands we stand together.

Donald Trump is once again attempting to slash funding for essential public broadcasting stations: NPR and PBS.

Let’s be clear what this move is about: It’s about censorship and control.

Public media is not a partisan issue. It’s how millions of Americans access free educational programming, emergency alerts and fact-based news.

We’re running out of time to stop these cuts, so please: Add your name to defend public media against Trump’s censorship agenda. [[link removed]]

As Trump's approval rating continues to plummet, he knows the only way he can stay in power is to cut off access to fair and trustworthy reporting — in his words, the “woke media.”

He knows that the more the American people hear about his proposed cuts to Medicaid, his disastrous economic agenda and his attacks on our fundamental rights, the more they will fight back.

A free press is critical to any democracy — whether it’s a positive or a negative story. We have to take a stand, John.

So please, I’ll be checking in with my team to make sure we hit 25,000 signatures by tonight. Can you take a minute to add your name to defend public broadcasting from Trump’s censorship, John? [[link removed]]

I hope you’ll make your voice heard.

A note from Kirsten:
John, I am truly honored to have won reelection, and I promise to continue the critical work toward bipartisan solutions for New Yorkers as we enter this new term.
While we had many victories in New York this election season, our fight to retake control of the Senate is far from over.
Please, donate today to make sure my team and I can continue securing crucial progress on the issues that matter the most and help flip the Senate blue in 2026. [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Kirsten Gillibrand
