On May 19, the CDC issued a new document, “Considerations for Schools,” offering what it calls “considerations for ways in which schools can help protect students, teachers, administrators, and staff and slow the spread of COVID-19.”

 

We have reviewed these “considerations,” and find them wholly out of touch with the way people live in the real world. They are totally unworkable, and we urge senior officials to review and revise these new CDC “considerations” to bring them into line with how real people live.

 

Some have expressed that these considerations are mere guidelines that carry no weight of law. While that is true – states, counties, and school districts across the country largely look at the CDC guidelines as the gold standard and many will decide not to reopen because these guidelines are wholly unworkable.

 

Some have suggested that we should not concern ourselves with government schools, and while we could point out all kinds of issues with the public school system, if kids do not return to school, it will hinder the ability for our country to reopen at full capacity. These guidelines will also impact whether charter schools and private schools reopen as well. We can argue the merits of public schools at another time, but for now we must get our kids back to school.

 

We believe the CDC “considerations” are entirely inappropriate, and must be rewritten from top to bottom.

In the span of 3 weeks, we have gone from unnecessary government lockdowns to complete anarchy...or at least that's the case in Seattle's new Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.

 

Earlier this week radical Antifa members took advantage of police being told to abandon a precinct and took over a six-block area of downtown Seattle. They quickly transformed it into what they called an “autonomous zone,” with hopes to show the world “what a community can look like without police.”

 

So, what were the results?

 

A "warlord" quickly took over the area, walls were built, and armed guards were posted at the perimeter. Peaceful “progressivism” in action!

 

The situation has been allowed to devolve because the Mayor of Seattle and the Governor of Washington refuse to act to restore order. Instead of protecting citizens and calling out radicals, they have called the autonomous zone “patriotic” and said it “resembles a block party.”

 

A truly astonishing display of Democratic “leadership” in action, and a preview of what the rest of the country will look like if leftists gain more power.

As you probably know, America’s enemies are overjoyed at the division our nation faces right now. It is not impossible that they would seek to foment and escalate that division in an effort to further damage our country. Therefore, it would be wise for all of us to be discerning in what we share online. Do some research to make sure that what we are all sharing is accurate, and not something cooked up by our enemies. This is especially true for the most incendiary items that we come across. It doesn’t hurt us to double check before we share, but it could stop us from sharing something that further deteriorates our unity as a nation.
