Mother's Day is just around the corner—and for many of us in this movement, it's a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment that mothers and caregivers bring to the fight for gun safety.

Each day in America, 125 people are shot and killed, and more than 200 others are wounded. Behind every number is a story—of heartbreak, trauma, and, too often, of lives forever changed.

That's why our Moms Demand Action volunteers step up, day in and day out. As a mother of four, I carry this reality with me in every room I enter and every conversation I lead.

I'm honored to stand alongside the fierce and compassionate volunteers at Moms Demand Action. These are mothers, survivors, and advocates who show up no matter where the fight is. They do the hard work year-round, organizing, mobilizing, and standing shoulder to shoulder with Students Demand Action to push for life-saving change.
