Isaiah was born into a “basketball family.” Whether it’s sitting courtside at his cousins’ all-star basketball games or rooting for his favorite pro team, Isaiah loves all things basketball. Isaiah also has cerebral palsy.

While he can still play basketball despite the right-sided weakness caused by his critical illness, Isaiah has been bullied in the past and now feels self-conscious about playing the sport he loves in front of his peers. Isaiah also has epilepsy, and the fear of having a seizure on the court in front of his classmates deters him from playing basketball at school.

But then, Isaiah got the chance to have a judgment-free place to play basketball. Isaiah wished to have a backyard basketball court.

Now Isaiah plays on his court every day and continues to build his strength. He has a safe space to practice his skills free of judgment and fear, and he’s even building up the courage to try out for his high school basketball team!
