Last Monday’s March for Life was another inspiring demonstration of conviction and purpose. What made it especially meaningful was that it’s not an election year - and yet pro-life supporters showed up in their droves. It speaks volumes about the enduring commitment of pro-life people across Ireland and how they see the importance of taking a very public stand at least once a year in defence of mothers and their unborn babies.
A particular highlight of the march was seeing the incredible turnout of young people. They brought a joyful energy, with their signs, songs, and enthusiasm lighting up the event. They are the heartbeat of this cause moving forward, and seeing their numbers and passion was truly encouraging.
It was also great to see the event receive some well-deserved media attention, including TV coverage on the RTÉ News at 6 and 9pm. The message of the event about the need for the Government to shift the focus from promoting abortion to encouraging alternatives went beyond the streets and reached living rooms across Ireland.
To all who attended, thank you. Your participation wasn’t just a gesture - it was a witness. It was a visible sign of hope, resolve, and love. The movement is strong, and your presence helped make that crystal clear.
A special word of thanks to the two main guest speakers, Ruth O’Sullivan from West Cork and Senator Sarah O’Reilly of Aontú.
