New GOP Scorecard Announcement

A lot has been made about scorecards lately regarding accuracy. We've seen it mostly on X (formerly twitter) but also on Facebook.
Many want to discredit scorecards if it makes their favorite legislators look bad. Even many legislators have taken issue with the accountability that many scorecards bring.
The interesting thing to note is that scorecards don't score legislators, they score legislation. People seem to think each scorecard has a vendetta against their favorite legislator.
We are pleased to introduce the [Idaho GOP Platform Scorecard]([link removed]). This scorecard has rated EVERY bill that has been voted on in either the House or Senate (or both) with the exception of bills that received unanimous votes.
This scorecard DID NOT rate any legislator. It only rated bills. The legislators just receive a grade based on the score the legislation received. Every bill is rated based on the Idaho Republican Party platform and nothing else. Bills were given a +1 if it aligned with the GOP Platform as a whole, a neutral if it had conflicting parts or if it neither aligned nor went against the platform, or a -1 if it went against the platform.
One thing we noticed as the session got closer to the end, is scores went down pretty drastically. It seemed like the spending bills really did many legislators in. Check out the platform. It is not against spending, but it's against wasteful and unnecessary spending.
Another interesting note is that the top people on this scorecard seem to be similar to the top on the Idaho Freedom Foundation's scorecard.
