As part of their effort to give tax breaks to billionaires, Republicans just approved a measure to sell off hundreds of thousands of acres of our public lands.
Republicans literally want to sell OUR public land in an attempt to line the pockets of the ultra wealthy.
Our public lands are national treasures that belong to all of us as Americans. They should be protected for future generations to enjoy.
Instead, House Republicans’ new proposal would allow mining and other resource extraction on our public lands, potentially threatening environmentally sensitive areas.
Our leaders need to be speaking up in defense of our public lands. I had a track record of doing that in Congress, and as governor, I will continue to be a champion for our natural resources.
