I’ve filed a federal lawsuit against the State of California to stop the counting of mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day. The Constitution and federal law mandate a uniform national Election Day—not an Election Week.

Our Founders intended for Election Day to reflect a clear snapshot of public sentiment at a single moment in time. Allowing ballots to trickle in for days—or even weeks—undermines that principle and erodes confidence in our elections.

Voters deserve timely, accurate results—not a dragged-out counting process that raises questions and fuels distrust.

The U.S. Court of Appeals agrees. In a recent decision, the Fifth Circuit ruled that counting ballots received after Election Day violates federal law.

In 2024, two Republican Congressional candidates—Michelle Steel and John Duarte—lost their races after Election Day, due to late-arriving mail-in ballots. This not only impacts Republicans in their districts, but across America. Those losses could have made Hakeem Jeffries Speaker of the House!

California’s system is broken—even Gavin Newsom admitted it in a recent interview. But the radical Left has no interest in fixing a system that works in their favor.

Think about this:
* Canada and the UK count ballots by hand and report most results the same night.

* India counted 640 million votes in a single day.

If they can do it, so can California.
