Jack: We have big news!
Today, on National Donkey Day, a powerful new movement was born in Washington, D.C. — the first-ever Congressional Wild Horse Caucus. Spearheaded by Representatives Dina Titus (D-NV), Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ), David Schweikert (R-AZ), and Steve Cohen (D-TN), this bipartisan group is dedicated to supporting, protecting, and preserving wild horses and burros in their natural habitat across the United States.
For too long, wild horses and burros have suffered under cruel federal policies, including brutal helicopter roundups and costly removals. But now, thanks to this caucus, there's a strong bipartisan effort that emphasizes humane, science-based solutions like fertility control and habitat conservation.
Here’s where you come in:
To make this caucus as strong and influential as possible, we need YOUR Representative and Senators to join. The more members we have, the stronger our collective voice will be for the protection and preservation of wild horses and burros in their natural habitats. Will you take a moment to send a letter to your Members of Congress urging them to join be a part of this historic moment?
By joining this caucus, your elected officials will help promote responsible, humane, and cost-effective management of these iconic animals — a goal shared by Americans across the political spectrum.
Your voice matters, Jack. Please, send a letter today and follow up with a quick call to your lawmakers’ offices. Together, we can ensure that America’s wild horses and burros remain wild and free for generations to come.
Thank you for standing with us and our wild herds,
— Team AWHC
