John, do you remember how Trump promised to lower the cost of goods on Day 1? I certainly do.
We have now endured 100 days since he took office, and he has yet to deliver on that promise. In fact, during that time, he has done NOTHING to help working families and has extracted silence and complicity from GOP lawmakers as they have sat back and passed the fewest number of bills in decades.
Here is what he has been up to instead: He gutted key government programs – including medical research, safety of food and medicine, and the prevention of gun violence, domestic terror attacks, and violent hate crimes. He’s pardoned the January 6 insurrectionists and attacked the courts, media, and universities. He has insulted our allies and fired thousands of federal workers, repealed anti-discrimination laws, and fired top military leaders in order to replace them with unqualified loyalists.
He has played games with the livelihoods of millions of people – tanking the economy, raising prices, and pushing us ever closer to a recession. Meanwhile, with Trump’s Big Disgusting Bill he plans to hand over trillions in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the American people.
