Hey, folks, it’s John, and this one hit close to home. 👇
You might have seen the news: The Trump administration has placed the majority of AmeriCorps members on leave. That means folks who signed up to volunteer in their communities – and live on a stipend of about $13 a day – have been forced out.
This is ridiculous. AmeriCorps has bipartisan support, and I can tell you firsthand: These people make the world a better place. 💯
I joined AmeriCorps in 1995 and served at the Hill House in Pittsburgh’s historic Hill District. I taught GED classes and helped set up the neighborhood’s first computer labs. It changed my life. And it helped my community.
👉 AmeriCorps brings people together. It isn’t a part of some “woke” agenda or culture war bullsh*t. It’s national service. It’s the best of us.
And Trump wants to gut it – why? So he can give himself + his rich pals another tax break? Now that’s a bullsh*t agenda.
🚨 We need to speak up. If you can afford it, I've set a goal to raise $5,000 to show there is overwhelming public support for these programs and the good folks who serve in them. Will you toss in $5 to help me fight back against these cuts?

Trust me – nobody joins AmeriCorps to get rich. They do it because they *care.* Because they want to serve. Because they want to give back to their communities.
👉 Tutoring kids. Helping senior citizens. Fixing homes after hurricanes. Supporting veterans.
AmeriCorps members do good work day in and day out, and now Trump’s guys are telling them to f*ck off.
We need to come together for this. We gotta tell the Trump administration: Put AmeriCorps workers back on the job NOW. Stop screwing with people who are *actually* trying to make their communities better. Will you join me in this fight by giving $5 before midnight?

Thanks so much. Public service means a lot to me, and I appreciate your support.
John ❤️
