One of the best parts about being Governor is coming together with all kinds of people to work hard on legislation, sign it into law, and actually solve problems for Washingtonians.
The safety of Washington’s workers of all ages is important to me. Employers should do everything possible to provide a safe workplace for their workers.
That’s why it’s an honor to have signed House Bill 1644 into law. Led by Rep. Mary Fosse, this legislation strengthens labor protections for Washington’s youngest workers, creating stricter penalties for bad actors. As Rep. Fosse said, no parent should worry that their kid could face serious injuries or death on the job.
As more youth enter Washington’s workforce, protecting their safety must be a top priority. This legislation helps ensure the state can hold employers who don’t play by the rules accountable.
I’m able to solve problems for Washingtonians because of the support of people like you. If you’re able to support our campaign with a donation today, it will help me continue this important work in the future.
Unlike most politicians, I do not accept donations from large corporations or corporate PACs. Our grassroots campaign for Governor was successful because we received an unprecedented 120,000 individual donations.
Thank you for being on our team,
Bob
