I’m Jared’s campaign manager, so I wanted to send you a quick note about the state of the race now that former Governor Paul LePage has announced his campaign against Jared.
Mainers don’t need to be reminded who Paul LePage is. He’s a chaotic and divisive figure who was clearly rejected by Maine voters when he ran for Governor again in 2022. But now he’s moving back to Maine from Florida to enrich himself with more power.
Governor LePage is on the record as an anti-abortion partisan who wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act and take healthcare away from millions of Americans. The last thing we need is for Maine to be represented by someone controlled by GOP special interests.
But don’t get me wrong: This is going to be one of the most competitive and expensive races in the country. It could come down to just a few thousand votes, just like it did last year.
We know GOP Super PACs are gearing up to spend millions of dollars to flip this seat, but I’m confident we can withstand their attacks and win the support Jared needs to stay in office to continue fighting for the people of Maine - but only with your support!
