House Republicans are in committee meetings now, preparing to push forward the most destructive bill of Trump’s presidency. When he took office, Trump called for “one big, beautiful bill” covering
virtually every harmful MAGA priority, from cutting healthcare for low-income
people, to slashing pay for federal workers, to giving handouts to fossil fuel
executives and gutting clean energy incentives. As debate on that bill advances, one part of the plan is selling off public lands in order to fund tax cuts for billionaires. But Republicans have a problem: they know this is deeply unpopular, even with some in their own party. And if they lose more than three votes, their plan will fall apart.  We have a real chance to stop them from selling off our nation’s public lands to
