Hi there, it’s Mayor Karen Bass.
The City of L.A. is hitting the ground running to prepare Los Angeles to host the 2028 Olympic Games.
Today, I am proud to announce that the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will play a vital role in the 2028 Olympics — becoming the first ever venue to host the Olympics in three different Summer Games.

Hosting the Olympic Games is a generational opportunity — one that will benefit Angelenos as we prepare, as well as for decades after the Games are played.
Our preparations are well underway to support local small businesses, fuel job creation, and create environmental and transportation improvements throughout Los Angeles.
We must continue our vital progress to ensure L.A. is ready for the Olympic Games. Thank you for being a part of this work.
More soon,
