REMEMBERING PULSE

Four years ago today, attendees of the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando were brutally attacked while celebrating Pride month – killing 49 of our community members, the majority of them LGBTQ people of color. While in past years, survivors and loved ones have gathered at the Pulse memorial, this year ceremonies will be held online.

To further honor the memories of those lost and wounded, flags will be flown at half mast and a moment of silence was held at 9am ET.

Florida state Rep. Shevrin Jones, running to be the first openly LGBTQ Florida state Senator, shared ways to #honorthemwithaction.

We continue to mourn. And we remember.

PRIDE PRIMARIES: NEXT UP

The countdown has begun for our New York candidates – there’s only 11 days until Election Day.

Recent polling shows Ritchie Torres is only two points behind one of the biggest bigots in New York in the race for the state's 15th Congressional District. His recent endorsement from Chris Cooper, a Black man who filmed Amy Cooper as she attempted to make a bogus 911 call against him, and The New York Times should help!

The COVID-19 pandemic threw Mondaire Jones' race for New York’s 17th Congressional District into pandemonium. Luckily, Mondaire and his team were able to quickly pivot. Learn more about Mondaire’s completely digital campaign here!

Ahead of her primary for New York’s 23rd Congressional district, Tracy Mitrano pledged that when she defeats Representative Tom Reed in November, she’ll support the U.S. House’s Justice in Policing Act.

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
