James,
Trump’s war on our public media isn't a distant threat – it's already arrived. The Department of Education just pulled the plug on a vital federal grant that funded PBS children’s programming like “Sesame Street” and “Reading Rainbow”.

This latest move is proof that Trump isn’t going to rest until he completely guts our public media. But here’s the thing: killing Big Bird and other educational kids shows isn’t a popular move and CONGRESS still controls the purse strings. Which is why we need to OVERWHELM our representatives with calls to intervene to stop these cuts.
Will you send an urgent message to Congress that we WILL NOT let them silence PBS and NPR?
Thanks to Trump’s relentless attacks on NPR and PBS, after years of threatening rhetoric right-wing lawmakers are now emboldened to follow through with their threats to defund our public media. They see cutting public broadcasting as a political trophy, completely disregarding the harm they'll inflict on struggling families, rural communities, and underserved neighborhoods.
This latest move to terminate a grant program that makes kids educational programs possible will have devastating consequences. For families who can't afford paid cable or streaming services, PBS Kids is a critical tool, bridging educational gaps, strengthening equal access to early education, and teaching kids empathy, science, and social-emotional learning.
It's clear what this attack really is: an attempt to silence independent voices, weaken public trust, and eliminate media sources that can't be easily controlled by special interests. And it’s just the beginning.
We have a chance to stop it – but we have to show Congress OVERWHELMING opposition RIGHT NOW.
Can we count on you today to stand up against these cuts and demonstrate widespread public support for PBS and NPR?
When we organize, we win,
Our Revolution
