Dear John,

As a supporter of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) and our mission, we are thrilled to invite you to a free reception and performance of [link removed] Sanctuary City by Martyna Majok.

"2001. The DREAM act is first proposed. The Twin Towers fall. In New Jersey, two teenagers forge a friendship that becomes a sanctuary. Both brought to America as children, G and B support each other through life’s harsh circumstances. When G becomes naturalized, she and B hatch a plan to marry so that he may legally remain in the country and pursue the future he imagines. But as time hurdles on and complications mount, their intertwined lives become tangled in the realities of love, longing, and belonging in an unwelcoming country."

Attendees of the event will enjoy a private reception from 1:15 - 2:00 pm before the performance. Light snacks will be provided. The runtime of the show is 1 hour and 40 minutes, with a 15-minute intermission. After the show, there'll be an optional talk back with ILCM's Legal Director, Tracy Roy.
