Show your support for Colorado teachers: Sign Brittany’s thank you card for Teacher Appreciation Week → [[link removed]]
Team,
Growing up, Brittany Pettersen faced a lot of obstacles at home as a kid. When she was 6, Brittany’s mom, like so many other Americans, was over-prescribed opioids following a back injury, which led to a decades-long struggle with addiction, including heroin.
But Brittany overcame those obstacles, and she credits it to her access to strong public schools and amazing, caring teachers. Thanks to those teachers, Brittany became the first in her family to graduate from high school and college, serving in the state legislature, and even winning election to Congress.
Because our country made investments in children like Brittany, she was given a chance to build a better life and overcome the myriad obstacles she faced at home.
Now, Brittany is fighting in Washington to ensure every child in every community receives the same opportunities she did.
That’s why today, during Teacher Appreciation Week, Brittany is asking you to sign her thank you card for teachers in Colorado and across the nation. Can you take just a minute to sign the card? [[link removed]]
