Sign The Petition to Tell Stitt to VETO SB1027 and Protect Oklahomans' Right to Citizen-led State Questions
The State Legislature JUST passed SB1027, which dramatically limits Oklahomans' ability to collect signatures for state question petitions. This means that state questions will cost more money to pass, and could even make them impossible.
That would leave State Questions up to the state legislature, where they can put their own agenda on the ballot, but leave the people out to dry.
This bill would've made the state questions that passed Medicaid Expansion and Medical Marijuana impossible.
OK Democrats are working with our partners in the State Senate to send a petition to Governor Stitt's desk urging him to VETO this bill.

The framers of the Oklahoma constitution called state questions "the first power reserved to the people," and now Oklahoma Republicans are trying to take it away.
This is a turning point in the rights of Oklahoma voters, who until now, have been able to exercise a right to oppose unpopular policies and bring the needs of everyday Oklahomans to a vote BY everyday Oklahomans.
We're asking you sign this petition to tell Oklahoma Republicans that we fight for our rights.
