Things are tough right now, John. Trust me, I get it.

Prices are still too high. Republicans are coming for our health care and Social Security to deliver a massive tax break to billionaires. People are being kidnapped off our streets.

That’s why I wish I didn’t have to ask for money in emails like these. It’s one of my least favorite parts of the job. But if I’m being honest, it’s also a necessary part of the job.

Elections typically come down to who has the most money to spend on running ads, training volunteers, and reaching voters — and since billionaires send more and more money to GOP candidates who will give them tax cuts and provide backing for Trump’s authoritarian agenda, it’s important to build a strong grassroots base that can stand up against them.

Even just $1 will help me fight against Donald Trump and Elon Musk in Congress, defend working families from their billionaire-first agenda, stand up to the Trump administration’s lawlessness, and continue to listen and show up for Vermonters.

So if you can, John — and only if you can — please pitch in $1 today. Every small-dollar donation makes a huge difference in my work to fight for working families and stand up to people like Donald Trump. [[link removed]]
