I gotta be real with you — Trump’s new budget proposal is a slap in the
face to working people all across this country.

At a time when families are struggling just to get by — with sky-high
costs for housing, child care, health care, and groceries — Trump wants to
gut the very programs that help folks survive… all while handing billions
more to weapons contractors and billionaires.

Y’all, this isn’t about “fiscal responsibility” — it’s robbery. It’s a
transfer of wealth from the people who work the hardest and get the least…
to the people who already have everything.

And the wildest part? These same folks love to lecture us about cutting
waste and saving taxpayer money — but then they give a blank check to the
Pentagon, which has failed seven straight audits and can’t even tell us
where billions of our tax dollars went. Seriously.

If Trump was actually serious about helping taxpayers, he’d start by
cleaning up that mess — not taking housing, food, and health care away
from working families.

Here’s what this could mean for communities across the country:

* Fewer housing vouchers
* Less funding for public schools
* Devastating cuts to health care, environmental protections, and
infrastructure
* Reduced investment in small businesses, job training, and public
transit
* Fewer medical research jobs — and slower progress on cures for
diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s

That’s the cost of Trump’s budget. And I refuse to sit back and let it
happen.

billionaires, not for war profiteers, but for you. The teachers, nurses,
bus drivers, parents, kids, and folks who’ve been holding this country
together without ever getting the credit or the resources they deserve.
