Big News, John – the Puget Sound Recovery Caucus is back!
Last week, Congresswomen Marilyn Strickland and Emily Randall re-launched the Puget Sound Recovery Caucus – renewing the fight to protect one of Washington’s most treasured resources.
For those of us who call Washington home, the Sound isn’t just a body of water or a landmark – it’s the heart of our economy, culture, and way of life. It supports hundreds of thousands of jobs, generates billions in economic activity, supports tribal treaty rights, and sustains the ecosystems that define our region. From salmon and orcas to the forests and waters we love, our ports, shipyards, fisheries, and tourism all rely on a healthy, resilient Sound.
That’s why this Caucus matters. In past years, it helped secure funding to restore habitats, reduce pollution, and protect our marine life. Now, we face even greater threats, making this work more urgent than ever.
Trump, Elon Musk, and the MAGA majority are attempting to gut climate protections, hand power to polluters, and undermine the progress we’ve made. The stakes couldn’t be higher – for our environment, our economy, and our future.
Marilyn came to Congress to deliver for the South Sound – and that’s exactly what she’s doing. She’s focused on making our district and our nation more safe, more just, and more secure – not just for today, but for generations to come.
Thank you for standing with her,
Strickland HQ
