POLITICO has reported the latest survey data from Democrats -- and it shows a clear trend in the kind of VP voters are looking for.

According to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, 46% of Americans now think Biden's VP pick should be a woman of color -- up 10 points since April.

Public opinion is fast shaping the direction of the race, with Congresswoman Val Demings and Senator Kamala Harris now surfacing as likely choices. The field is still crowded, however, and previous longshots like Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley -- who's made police reform a key legislative priority -- are now seeing an open opportunity.
