On Mother's Day, we honor all the mothers we've known — those who have acted as caregivers, those who have offered their love and support and those currently living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
Our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends deserve a world free from Alzheimer's. But the sad fact of the matter is that Alzheimer's disease has a disproportionate impact on women:
Almost two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer's are women.
More than 60% of Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers are women.
Nearly 19% of women caregivers find it necessary to leave their jobs due to the increasing demands of their caregiving responsibilities.
Friend, we know you're interested in our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. But we need you to join the fight now, while your support can double in impact.
Your donation will strengthen our efforts to advance Alzheimer's care, support and research. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising global research initiatives, your gift makes a difference in the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias in your community and across the world. Thank you for your continued support.
