Dear Friend,

I’ve spent the last 20 years in the Democratic Party fighting for the underdog. I’m the fighter who will punch back against Donald Trump and Elon Musk — and deliver real results for the people.

However, I wouldn’t be standing here today without the strong women in my life. One of them is my grandmother, who raised me.

A fact that does not sit lightly with me is that my daughter, Sunday, has fewer rights today than my grandmother had.
