May Day 2025: NYCI calls for abolition of sub-minimum rates of pay
On International Workers’ Day, NYCI called for the immediate abolition of sub-minimum rates of pay, as recommended by the Low Pay Commission in June 2024.

Bronze Health Quality Mark Awarded
Leitrim Community Training College was awarded a Bronze Standard Health Quality Mark by the NYCI National Youth Health Programme in recognition of their work on health promotion for young people.

Completion of Specialist Certificate in Youth Mental Health Promotion 2025
Wednesday, April 9th, officially marked the conclusion of the Specialist Certificate in Youth Mental Health Promotion for the 2024/25 academic year, which was delivered by the National Youth Health Programme at the National Youth Council of Ireland, in collaboration with the University of Galway. There was great excitement and relief from participants who had just completed their final group work presentation assignment.

IAYO: ConCorda Chamber Music Course for Strings
ConCorda will take place from 2nd to 9th August 2025 in Newtown School, Waterford led by Artistic Director Katherine Hunka and Course Director Peggy Nolan. The course offers an exciting musical experience in chamber music, string orchestra and music improvisation. Participants study chamber music intensively at a high level with a staff of Irish and international tutors. Deadline: 9th May

Voice Ireland MENSY Project: Breaking Taboos & Promoting Sustainable Periods Across Europe
If you are a youth worker or work with young people and would like to learn more on supporting menstrual health education and breaking down the stigma associated with menstruation, we invite you to register to take part in our one day train the trainer course that will take place on Wednesday the 4th of June 2025 in the Macro Community Resource Centre and become an ambassador for sustainable menstrual protection.
