Calling South Texas School Districts
(ESC Regions 1, 2, and 20): Join Our Study!

UTHealth School of Public Health is conducting a study to see how well iCHAMPSS helps schools start, use, and maintain effective sexual health programs. The study will evaluate how this tool supports schools in teaching sexual health education.

What is iCHAMPSS?

iCHAMPSS is a free, online tool that helps schools adopt and maintain sexual health programs. It offers more than 60 resources, such as guides, tips, and templates, to make the process easier for schools.

How does the study work?

Participating school districts will be randomly assigned to start using iCHAMPSS in either the Fall or Spring during the first two years of the study (2025-2026 and 2026-2027). All districts will have iCHAMPSS by the end of the second year.

A District Coordinator, identified by the district, will be asked to complete confidential surveys: one at the start of year and a follow-up survey at the end of each semester. Each survey will take about 15-20 minutes and can be completed at your convenience on any device with internet access.

You will be compensated for completing each survey.
