Hi friend,

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month—a time to reflect on
the vital contributions that generations of AAPI Americans have made to our
nation.

As a proud Japanese American and a lifelong public servant, my heritage has
always been central to who I am and how I lead. I carry with me the stories of
my parents and grandparents, and the strength of a community that has faced
injustice, persevered through adversity, and shaped the course of American
history.

AAPI communities have helped build this country—through innovation, culture,
activism, and sacrifice. Yet we still face challenges: rising hate, barriers to
opportunity, and underrepresentation in leadership. That’s why I’ve spent my
time in Congress championing policies that uplift all communities—investing in
public health, advancing education and economic opportunity, and standing
against discrimination in every form.

As we honor AAPI Heritage Month, I’m also preparing for a critical re-election
campaign. The work ahead—fighting for equity, justice, and progress—demands
strong, sustained support. If you believe in building a more inclusive future,
I invite you to stand with me.

Your donation—whether $5 or $25—helps power a campaign grounded in shared
values and bold action.
