We at the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters grieve along with Minnesota and the nation for George Floyd. His senseless murder at the hands of Minneapolis Police is a harsh reminder of the systemic injustice that persists in our nation, particularly for black people.
In our quest to preserve the Boundary Waters, we believe that environmental justice requires racial and social justice and that we cannot succeed in protecting the environment while systemic racism persists in America.

Additionally, you can take immediate action today to combat environmental inequity right now - Black Millennials for Flint has asked citizens to contact your members of Congress and tell them to support H.R 5986, the Environmental Justice for All Act.
